Qualifying Times
 | | US Swim Meet InformationUSA Swimming -NJ Local Swim Committee(NJLSC)As a member organization of USS Swimming, the West Morris Area YMCA Sharks participate in competition including Gold, Silver, Bronze, Mini and Senior meets. At these meets, it is important that we behave like a team. This includes wearing the West Morris logo, sitting together, warming up together, and in general, encouraging one another to be their best.
By qualifying times, swimmers will be entered into the appropriate Bronze, Silver, or Junior Olympic (Gold) championships.

Zones (qualifying for the NJ LSC All star Team)
All star competition held twice a year, in which the New Jersey LSC team competes against 13 other LSC’s in the Eastern Zone. The New Jersey Short Course (SC) team is made up of top place finishers from the New Jersey Junior Olympic Competition. The NJ Long Course (LC) team is made up from those making the qualification standards and participating in at least two LC meets during the season.
Sectionals and or Junior Nationals
A championship meet held twice a year for all USS swimmers meeting the qualifying time. The qualifying times are faster than those for YMCA Nationals.
USS Nationals
Available for those achieving the qualifying times. It is held twice a year at long course (50 meter) facility throughout the country.
NOTE: Practice and coaching support is provided for any Shark swimmers qualifying for YMCA or USS end of the season championship meets.
